When a well known London based marketing agency client needed photoshoot equipment transport for a very critically timed shoot they put their trust in the A-B 24/7 Event Transport team. Our client stressed how vital the photoshoot was and that all timings were absolutely critical, nothing could go wrong; the venue hire, photographers rates and deadline meant everything had to run smoothly. Our team had to ensure all the equipment, props, lighting were collected from Kings Cross, London and transported across London to the photoshoot location for 8.30am on the day of the shoot. We were then to return at 5.00pm the next day to pick-up everything and return to our clients premesis.
To ensure we were on time we planned the collection, arranging to be on-site for 7.00am. Kings Cross is 11miles and around an hour and a quarter in city traffic from our Wimbledon, SW19 depot, crossing the Thames via Waterloo Bridge. Road conditions are checked en route both by our driver and by our despatch team back at our office. We knew early morning rush hour traffic would be slow, so we allowed enough time, arriving on-site with plenty of time in hand. Our office kept in touch with our driver and client, so they knew when we were 15minutes and 5minutes away, a simple bit of reassurance at the start of a long day.
The next day we returned before 5 pm but the pack down was running late, which wasn’t a problem, our drivers are always happy to wait, (we did have to charge waiting time as the pack down took a lot longer than anyone envisaged).
