ULEZ expansion 25th October ’21
The world’s first Ultra Low Emission Zone was created in London in April 2019 to combat traffic emissions, the major contributor to poor air quality in the capital. This month London’s ULEZ boundary will expand to, (but not including), the North Circular Road (A406) and the South Circular Road (A205). Any vehicles that do not comply with the ULEZ emission standards will incur a £12.50 daily charge when operating within the expanded ULEZ.

Do Ultra Low Emission Zones work?
Polluting vehicles are responsible for approximately half of NOx harmful air emissions in London. Figures released by the Mayor of London London Assembly (21 October 2019) stated that 77% of vehicles in the current ULEZ zone met the required emission standards. In addition, figures showed around 13,500 fewer cars were being driven into central London each day.

ULEZ expansion and our Transportation Fleet
As part of our long term planning, A-B 24/7 has always invested in operating a modern fleet of vehicles. As a result, our drivers benefit from the latest comfort and safety features; our operations benefit with better efficiency and reliability. In addition, this strategy has allowed us to comply with statutory regulations such as ULEZ (and DVS) as they have come in, without the need of upgrading vehicles or incurring daily charges for deliveries in London.
